About ViaMar

When is the high season in Brazil?
Most European tourists travel to Brazil from November through March. Celebrations and festivities are frequent around Christmas, New Year, Carnival in February and Easter. This period is also very lucrative for those who wish to let their holiday home parts of the year. Although large parts of Brazil experience a rainy season between May and September, the North East of the country, due to its’ proximity to the Equator, has more than 300 days of sunshine annually, and the climate remains mainly dry throughout the year.

Will I need a visa to travel to Brazil?
No, nationals of EU countries (except nationals of Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Malta who do require a visa) may stay up to 90 days for tourist and business purposes; One can also apply for an additional three months. Your passport has to be valid for at least six months on date of entry.

Will I need vaccines to go to Brazil?
Not if you're only going to the North Eastern part of the country. However, if you're planning to travel inland, it's recommended to be vaccinated against Yellow fever and Hepatitis A and B. Contact your local vaccination facility for more information. If you are travelling to the Amazon and the rain forest, you may also require Malaria tablets.

Why invest in property in Brazil?
Property prices in Pipa have increased by between 20-30 percent the last five years and most financial expert predict that this trend will continue (please refer to "Invest in Brazil" for more information). The main reasons for Pipa's popularity is the tropical climate, fabulous beaches, its' proximity to Europe (only 6 ½ hours flight from Lisbon) and frequent flights. All this and more helps make Pipa a very attractive area for holiday rentals, while the properties are still much cheaper to buy than many similarly popular holiday spots, like for instance by the Mediterranean.
